Auxiliary Equipment

*      Gas cooker + extra gas containers

*      Sleeping bags – good quality ones.

*      Water carriers and purifiers (keep clean)

*      Battery operated transistor ( keep good quality batteries separate) today they have wind up powered transistors.

*      Torch (Flash light) Small - keep batteries separate (also have wind up powered versions though a bit bulky)

*      Chemical Heat pads - cold packs

*      Generators – make sure they function – and have fuel (needs to be renewed regularly) don’t waste!

*      Candles

*      Access to a small generator improves your options a great deal.

*      Utensils - as few as possible but make sure there is a spoon, a knife and a fork. A good can-opener and a Swiss-army knife or Leatherman tools are excellent all-round essentials.

*      Small collapsible pots for cooking and boiling water.

*      String or small strong rope with hooks you never know how much you might have to hang on it. Make sure it is not tangled for quick access.
